When Dreams Die

When Dreams Die is a puzzle-platformer developed by the four man Team Enigma, consisting of Thomas Beeman, Chase Bradbury, Krishna Velury, and myself. I assisted in asset production and served as one of the design leads.

In When Dreams Die, you play as Nikola Tesla, inventor of the radio. Though not credited with the discovery in his time, When Dreams Die describes in metaphor for what could have been. Inspired by Langston Hughes’ poem of the same name, When Dreams Die features Nikola Tesla accomplishing platforming tasks using his marvelous invention in locations based on the real ones he visited during this time in his life. When Dreams Die innovates on the simple task of flipping switches to create interesting situations with moving platforms, requiring quick thinking and foresight to advance. When Dreams Die was written in pure JavaScript, and all art assets were produced by either Chase Bradbury or myself, though most were done so by Chase.
